On July 3rd, I was asked to participate in a great fundraiser the “Sweet Melissa Tournament” at Reunion Resort in Orlando, FL. This was probably the one of the nicest private fundraiser tournaments I have participated in. This was staged by the friends. Co-workers and members of Reunion for Melissa, who at the age of 23, suffered a stroke. It was great to see such an outpouring of love for this woman by everyone. Local businesses provided food and beverages at many of the holes, great raffle prizes were donated by members of Reunion Resort. The staff at Reunion Resort did a great job hosting the event.
One thing I can say if you are in the area near Disney and would love to play a great course, call Reunion Resort. The 3 courses are in great shape and you would enjoy the challenges that each unique venue presents. If you have a large group and need accommodations, please contact Sally Livingston at 321-281-7154 or slivingston@reunionresort.com. She can make it happen for your golfing needs! Don’t forget the Annika Academy is there also- this is a wonderful boutique teaching experience.
But I have to admit that it was great to see all the women playing and it was a Golf Essentials for Women fashion show. I couldn’t believe how many of my wonderful customers were wearing purchases from our web site! It was a Sport Haley and Bette & Court show, not to mention a few others golf labels. The picture above is me and Nicola DeStowlinska wearing our Sport Haley designs top to bottom. And may I say looking quite fine!!
